What a day for a FO!
It's time! I finished something...The Urban Outfitters circular shrug is done! Doesn't it look like the real thing? Except the photo has that horrible camera-in-the-shot thing, proving how unprofessional my photoshoots are...And you think that since I work in advertising, I could hire an art director to pose me and a photographer to shoot this for free...maybe even hire a skinnier model. Nah. It's 1am on a Saturday. Furry is out with the boys and the cats don't have thumbs. Therefore, it's just me, the camera and the mirror. Whadda ya think?Project: UO FO
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft in Soft Blue
Needles: 29" #9 circular
Date started: 8/8 (ish)
Date completed: 9/3
Here are some progress shots:
Finished but unseamed...

Seamed and mighty circular!

i'm definitely giving the shrug a try based on your finished object. it looks great. how many yards of yarn did you use?
hi there, love your UO shrug and thanks a bunch for your details on how to cast on. I'm making one for myself too. Hope you don't mind I link your blog to mine.
I love that circular shrug. Is the pattern available?
Great job!!!
Love your circular shrug!!
I have figured out gauge & starting mine today..
Also on below crochet bag.. I am all in with you..
gotta start crochet!!
Again I gotta say, the shrug looks amazing! You've put a really nice twist on it. what type of stitch did you use when making it?
hi, your UO shrug looks so great! i am thinking of making one, too.
That is an awesome shrug! It looks great on you too! Very flattering. I might just have to give this one a go...
I love your shrug. Can I get the pattern anywhere? You did a great job.
Your Circular Shrug turned out amazing! I've been reading your posts at craftster.org and I am going to try one, too! Thank you!

Did you bind off the way keridiana had written the pattern? (*BO2, 2x2 rib across* rep from * to * until you get a nice rounded shawl collar that is about 8" at the longest.) or did you make yours exactly 5" like the beginning 5" of the pattern? Thanks!
i am more than halfway done with mine, but am a bit befuddled about how it actually get finished and what goes where. is there any way you could do a little scribble of what part will be what and how the seaming works? i used my own handspun, spun just for this project and it is so bright that i don't know i if will actually even wear it. sigh. and it took me forever. repetitive forever. i am planning to make mine longer, to be a bit more belly covering...
thanks so so much!

I'm totally making this! (Found you on Ravelry, BTW)....you rock for making it out of Caron Simply Soft! : )
This is an awesome pattern! But I am a little confused based on your little diagram...Do you make 2 of the same pieces, seam them together, then seam to make the sleeves? Or do you just make one piece, then curve it around to seam for the sleeves? Thanks!
So where is the pattern??? I would like to give this a try but where can we find the pattern?
Thanks.
FANTASTIC.
Have downloaded the pattern and will have to search for some suitable yarn.
Thank you so much
So where did you download the pattern from??? I have tried and tried and cannot seem to find it!
Thanks in advance for your help!!

I'm confused about the mock rib knit. Any reason you use this as opposed to a regular rib? Also is there a specific reason for the S1FS, rather than "slip one?"
I would also like to know the number of yards you used. I'm just dying to get into it, but I'm sorta stuck on the swatch stitches.
Can you please send me the pattern by e-mail, cause it's not avalable from your page anymore.
Thanks
LOVE LOVE the shrug. But the download link no longer works. Could you email me the pattern to sandra at arrayweb dot com? Thx!!
